Supporting Tutoring (for first level courses). Its activities and initiatives aim at improving student learning on basis disciplines, like mathematics or physics. Teaching supporting activities are provided by qualified doctorate students or graduate students. For the academic year 2014/15 there will be 9 tutoring positions for all first level courses, each consisting of 100 assisting hours. The Engineering Department board and the CdS chairs will establish together how to distribute these positions for the different courses.

Individual Tutoring (for students of first level courses). When a student enrolls, he/she receives a tutor (a professor or a researcher of the Engineering Department), who will help him/her to solve bureaucratic or methodological problems during his/her academic career, but especially during the first year. In order to guarantee the effectiveness of this initiative, at most 5 students will be assigned to the same tutor.
In case of students with disabilities, the Department will provide additional tutors and tools to help these students, based on their specific needs and on their request.
