Introductory and remedial courses

The Engineering Department organizes teaching activities to facilitate students to access the engineering courses (Introductory Courses) and to remedy to their OFA (education debits) in case of failure of the admission test (Remedial Courses).

The Introductory Courses take place in September and are tailored to those students that already enrolled to the first year or that plan to enroll to the first year. For the academic year 2014/15, the introductory courses will be held in the period September 8-17. They will focus on fundamental mathematical notions, with the aim of helping students to overcome the gap between High School and University, and to accustom them to the methodology required by academic studies. They are also conceived to help students to take the admission test in September (September 18 in Perugia and September 19 in Terni).

The introductory courses consists of lectures and exercises, executed with the teacher or individually. To attend these courses it is required to register using a form that will be distributed by the teacher in the lecture room. The courses will take place in Room C (Aula C), in the "Biennio" zone; they will start at 9:00 and end at 13:00. Usually, every day includes lectures and exercises.

The Remedial Courses are designed to remedy to OFA. Nevertheless, they can be also attended by students that passed the admission test. For the academic year 2014/15 the courses will take place in October and November 2014, for a total of 25 hours. They will focus on logic and basic mathematical notions. The related remedial tests for the OFA will take place in December and January. The calendar of the lectures and of the tests will be published in September.
